Good Afternoon Chapter Leaders!
I've been having the same conversation with a few people this week - and wanted to share it with you.
The conversation focus: how much there is to learn to be a successful, dynamic leader.
Can you relate? Rest easy.
Leadership is not something you master once and then are done.
You are constantly growing.
So are your members.
And the times keep changing.
Given all this change, your leadership skills and approach needs grow to keep up with the new you, them - and world.
It's when you stop learning for a while you get in trouble.

Happy Birthday Surprise at Chapter Leader Playground
In October 2007 we officially launched the Chapter Leaders Playground.
A group of volunteers got together that spring to talk about what we could do to help chapter leaders be more successful.
The training most associations provided was not enough - and often happened only when folks became President-Elect - which was too late.
Our goal was to create a high-quality learning experience for volunteer leaders - and to keep it affordable so anyone could join.
We've had a great run for the last two years. Helped a lot of leaders and interviewed some very interesting people.
Now we want to take the Playground to the next level - and remove a barrier for leaders to participate.
After a lot of mathematical debates and the commitment to look for sponsors moving forward, we have decided to celebrate our 2nd Playground birthday by giving away individual memberships.
Individual membership has been $50 and will now be a gift to volunteer leaders.
(There will still be a cost for group memberships.)
We hope you will help us celebrate and spread the word about the free membership.
We've got some fabulous webinars coming up that can help a lot of chapter leaders.
